The 13th KOGP was run at West London over the August Bank Holiday weekend as usual, and for me this was my third time attending it. My car was good at the West London national the other month so I was hoping for a good weekend.

Practice time was limited on the Saturday, and in the end I only did three runs. The car was good though, and all I changed was shock oil throughout the day. The track had been coked in the morning and as such traction was very good. However, it rained on Sunday morning and all the traction was washed away. The first two of five qualifying rounds were both wet, and I managed to score a 4th place in the first round.

The track dried up for the third round, but in this run my battery connector came unsoldered as I was on the main straight, causing my car to crash into the wall at the end of the straight and cause a lot of damage. A lot of new parts and a full rebuild were required before the next qualifying round. Luckily, the rebuild and the run went well and I managed to finish 3rd.

The final round of qualifying was run on Monday morning and to be honest I didn't really push or use new tyres as I knew I had a guaranteed A final place. With two rounds to count I had qualified in 5th place which I was very happy with.

The finals didn't go well for me, I hit some people and got hit by others, but in the end a 5th and 6th place gave me 7th place overall.

Overall the KO weekend was great fun as usual, and now it's time to look forward to the indoor season.
