Well the first round of this year's BIWS series was held this weekend. It was good fun to be back racing at competition level after spending the last two months practicing and testing. The grip was even lower than usual, and coupled with a rather odd track layout racing was...questionable. I only got one half decent qualifier and in the end I qualified 8th, disappointing but on the bright side it appeared to be a better starting position for the notoriously rough finals. It appeared this was true, and a 6th in the first leg and a 3rd in the second leg gave me 3rd overall, a pleasing result considering the way the day went.
